My name is Federico Builes and I’m a web developer from Medellin, Colombia. This is my personal website.

I’ve been developing software professionally since 2004, mostly web applications. I was a language enthusiast until I met Ruby in 2006.

In the past I’ve collaborated with GuiaCereza, helping scale it into one of the top 10 colombian websites. I also co-wrote Paymentez, the biggest payments platform for social networks in Latin America. I was involved in hacking initiatives like the Google Summer of Code (and its Ruby counterpart).

I’m a CS and Physics Engineering dropout (by choice and by circumstances). I like rock, tattoos, cigarettes and shit like that. I have another blog called Rockgenius where I dissect song lyrics.
